As a busy household, I am always looking for quick, easy, and affordable snacks for the kids. That perfect snack that I can have ready in minutes after nap time or just on a busy afternoon. This has been a favorite…and healthy too!
I don’t have the time or patience to make elaborate and cute snacks for kids that aren’t going to appreciate the craftmanship of such a treat. I like simple recipes that taste good and provide enough nourishment to make it to the next meal. If you are like me, you will appreciate this simple snack with just the right amount of sweetness to make it tasty.
I start by stirring the cream cheese to get it softened up some. This makes the other ingredients mix in better. I then add the maple syrup and cinnamon and stir until well blended. Don’t be afraid to add extra cinnamon if you like it on the strong side. You should have a creamy smooth dip when you are done. If it seems too runny, just continue to stir so the maple syrup is well combined with the cream cheese.
Ingredients:
2 oz Cream Cheese
1 teaspoon Maple Syrup
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 Medium sized apple
Instructions:
Step 1: Scoop out Cream Cheese and stir until smooth
Step 2: Mix in Maple Syrup and Cinnamon until well blended
Step 3: Cut apple into slices
Step 4: Dip and Enjoy!
